# Your shop

> Make a shop in Wundaly from a preset: it starts in test mode, takes a test order, and only you switch it live after a readiness check.

A shop is a web app of the kind webshop. Your helper makes it from a preset: bakery, boutique, florist, retail or voucher shop. Then you put products in the [catalog](/docs/catalog-and-orders/).

## Test mode first

A new shop is live in seconds on a **mock payment**. Your helper can run a whole test order through it, so you see the flow without anyone paying.

## Settings

Shop settings cover the storefront, checkout, the payments provider (auto, Stripe, Mollie or mock), the tax country (NL or DE), the seller details and an order prefix.

## Going live

Only a **person** switches a shop to live, after a readiness check that lists what still holds it back, in the order to fix it. Your helper can run the check and read you the list. It cannot flip the switch.

> [!HONEST]
> Which payment providers are connected for your studio is a setting, and live payments are to be confirmed in early access. Treat every shop as a test shop until you have run the readiness check yourself.
