## Expenses

Record what the studio spends. Your helper can create an expense, draft one from a receipt file (a PDF, an email or text) and read the details from pasted receipt text without saving anything. Each expense belongs to the person who booked it. Owners and admins see all of them.

You can see totals per month, per quarter and per category, and which billable expenses still wait to be charged on to a customer. Input VAT is shown per filing period for your workspace's country. Export a CSV or a PDF expense report.

> [!NOTE]
> The country (NL, DE or other), the filing frequency and the base currency are settings that owners and admins set.

## Budgets

A budget belongs to a project or a client. It tracks how much time has been used and warns you when it is due. A budget reads everyone's time, so it needs an owner or admin seat.

## Check the numbers

> [!WARNING]
> The figures help you keep track. They are not tax advice, and you file your own VAT. Compare them with your own records at first.
